Nosh at Nosh for 50% Off

I'm a big fan of Nosh. So big, in fact, that hte Sig-O and I are thinking that's where we'll have the parental units take us for brunch on Sunday. (Crap, now the paparazzi will follow us!) Here's the deal from Living Social:

If you live in Big D, you've likely heard big talk of chef Avner Samuel and his cuisine. Now the name behind Oak Lawn's Nosh Euro Bistrois dishing up not only bold flavors but also a bold deal: For just $15, get $30 to spend on Nosh-ables and non-alcoholic drinks during lunch or Sunday brunch. Neither the OpenTable.com Diners' Choice 2010 Winner nor celebrity chef Samuel are messing around when it comes to hearty entrées like beef tenderloin Benedict or Mediterranean-style "Big Fish" for two. Consider yourself warned: Choosing is difficult, but there are no wrong orders. Even light fare is a joy on the tongue with watermelon and heirloom tomato salad and tuna tartare. And at 50% off, this deal will deliver the perfect bite without taking one out of your wallet.

Get this deal. You'll thank me. Nosh is one of the best restaurants in town and now you'll get to enjoy it for half off!

I'll Miss Alma

Word on the street (and their voicemail) is that Alma on Henderson (in the old Cuba Libre space) has closed. Bummer. I had a blast when the Sig-O had my birthday dinner there. I'll miss the yummy cocktails and great food. We'll see what happens next in that space.

Be a Food Truck VIP for Half Price!

We all know I'm a huge fan of food trucks. I think today's Living Social Deal might have been designed for me. It's VIP, it's cheap (relatively) and it's benefiting a good cause. Check it ou:

It has indeed been drier all summer than a slab of Texas toast with no butter, but other parts of the world are facing an even drier spell. Today's deal for a VIP ticket from Ten for 10: Water for Africa is a unique way to give the world water crisis a kick in the pants while sampling some of Dallas's finest fare. Your Getaway Golf and Spa Deal on Texoma

You're dreaming of a day at the spa, while your other half prefers a day on the golf course. Compromise is unnecessary. You can have that blissed-out feeling of hitting a stellar tee-shot, as well as a massage that will leave you rubber-legged, with this week's Escape to Texomaland.
Spend one night at Tanglewood Resort & Conference Center, nestled in a quiet cove on the Texas side of Lake Texoma. After checking in to your king or queen lake-view room ($166), head to the Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole championship Tanglewood Golf Course, where you and your partner will get a bucket of range balls and a round of golf for two, cart included.
After a day on the course, unwind with 25 percent off any spa service atTranquility Spa & Salon. Pamper yourself from head to toe with the most popular massage package, which includes a massage, facial, and pedicure. Or choose from an à la carte menu of hair, massage, and body treatments.
End the day using your $25 gift card for dinner at the resort. Spend it on a Chicago-style meal at Barnacles Sports Bar and Pizzeria with a Chicago-style pizza, and catch the game on the big screen.
Or put it toward a romantic dinner in The Commodore Room, boasting a refined menu of made-from-scratch dishes. Spice up the night with the chef's signature pepper steak, or channel romance with Chateaubriand for two.
Escape to the peace and quiet of Lake Texoma by March 31—just before spring-breakers take over. Click here to get this great deal.
