Cedar Springs Wine Walk Wednesday
So, Sig-O and I hit this up last quarter and it is SUPER fun and SUPER cheap. For $10, you get a glass (to keep, I'm working on creating a full set so I stole Sig-O's last time) and you go around to all the fun stores on the Cedar Springs strip drinking and shopping. Restaurants (Dish - cheap flatbread) and bars ($3 you-call-its at JRs and Sue Ellens) also have fun specials. Word to the wise - don't expect great wine at every stop, but expect to have a really good time. Recommended first stop: Nuvo. You're welcome.

Certain things aren't easy to say directly to someone's face, especially if that person is Jim Carrey right after the studio cut him a check for $20mil to hilariously talk out of his ass. Karaoke Battle to get on TV
You've dreamed of being on reality TV, but didn't want to put on more weight for the Biggest Loser and you don't think that having 4 cases of wine in the house qualifies you for a slot on Hoarders (it doesn't, I'm just sayin')
House of Blues Dallas will host the local competition for Karaoke World Championships USA. Local competition is held on May 31st at 7 p.m. with winners qualifying for the finals on June 9th. The finalists are eligible to compete at the state level competition and a chance to appear on ABC’s new Karaoke Battle USA premiering Monday, August 8th at 10 p.m.
WHO: House of Blues® Dallas, Karaoke World Championships USA, and 106.1 KISS FM are joining forces to find the next Karaoke superstar and have a chance to appear on ABC’s new Karaoke Battle USA.
WHAT: A karaoke contest to qualify local contestants to compete in the state competition for Karaoke World Championships USA. House of Blues Dallas is qualifying one female and one male winner to compete at the state competition held in June.
