Split Peas Soup Cafe just opened in the old Urbano place (which has been reincarnated over by Jimmy's and is BYOB!). I used it to book a tee time for this weekend so I'll actually get out and see a course other than the one in my backyard. Seriously, $19 for greens fees and a cart on a Sunday afternoon, that's cheap. Sure, it'll be like 107 degrees, but it's a dry heat, really.

But make your reservations ASAP. Somehow I managed to get into 560, but it's on a Monday night, so that's not so sexy. Got into Jasper's too. Wondering where else to hit. . . . Probably Hector's on Henderson because the food rocks and we love Hector!

Welcome to Deals, Steals and Things You Want to Know

I decided it was time to start blogging because my friends and family keep coming to me for recommendations and information about just about anything. It's not that I'm brilliant, but I get a lot of junk emails (no not the ones about the blue pills) and I skim them for the best information. When I find good stuff, I'll put it up here. If you find good stuff you want to share, just let me know.

And to my friends who keep asking me about stuff, I'll probably post your Q&A up here too because, like they said in school, there's no such thing as a stupid question and someone else probably has that same question.
